To make a Live conference call, you need to set up the configurations in place. While you plan to host the call, it is best to collect all information that the participants need like a security passcode (in some cases) and / or a dial in number. Decide the time that is suitable for the participants to join in. Draft an agenda for the conference and add this to the details.

Then, you must schedule the conference call and send the details to the participants and send the call invite. If you wish to start it with a smartphone, you can start a call and then tap “Hold”. Tap Add call to start a new call and add in participants. Then you can Merge the two calls. All of these options are provided by a unified communication service provider. This approach is best for security reasons and to avoid attacks like Zoom bombing.

How to set up a softphone?

To configure softphones, 3 pieces of information are needed: the extension number, registration password, and a registrar.

The extension number is the Username or authorized username with which you will access the phone, the password is the phone password and the registrar is the Proxy or Domain, the IP Hostname of PBX. A (cloud)PBX must be set up in place beforehand.

A softphone is configured via a properly configured Internet connection and thus it can be used anywhere. The app or client application has to be installed separately from the PBX installation.

Some (cloud) PBX systems provide the option to have an extension register both physical phone and softphone.

Why can’t I add Planner to a private channel in Microsoft Teams?

The planner is inherently not designed for Private chats. Its underlying model makes it a service that is open and collaborative. Indeed, you can’t have a private planner, but you can always add the participants in a private chat to be added in a planner (not privately). Private channels were initially introduced to sensitive information within a Teams channel like budget, login credentials, resourcing, etc. Private channels can be composed of a subset of people within Microsoft Teams.

Since Private Channels are a new thing in Teams lately, according to Microsoft, Teams private channels do not support apps like Stream, Planner, and Forms. All other connectors and tabs are supported. Apps like Planner have a pretty tight integration to Office 365 groups and thus they are not yet supported in Teams.
